Individual/batch inspection refers to the
process in which the China Classification Society (CCS) confirms that the
product meets CCS rules and/or approved design drawings or other recognized
standards through the review of product drawings and technical documents (or
prototype/type tests or inspection), piece-by-piece or batch-by-batch
inspection and tests of the product manufacturing process and/or for final
products; for those items that meet the requirements, CCS will issue marine
product certificates or equivalent certificates.
