CCS Engineering Software COMPASS-SDP

COMPASS-SDP is new-generation hull structure prescriptive requirements assessment software independently developed by China Classification Society (CCS).  The system creates hull geometry and structures through graphic interaction modeling, and provides efficient parametric modeling method, enabling rapid creation of 2D hull structure model, dramatically enhances modeling efficiency and software usability.

The system verifies hull girder strength and local strength requirements in accordance with CCS rules. Analyses include hull girder yielding, ultimate and residual strength，hull structure scantling, buckling strength, fatigue strength, bow impact, bottom slamming, liquid tank sloshing requirements, and other special requirements. Calculation covers the whole ship region, and will gradually extend to all major ship types.

 

Function Features:

  ◇Combination of graphic interaction and parametric modeling, enabling rapid creation of whole 2D hull structure model. Providing various model editing and inspection capabilities, such as structure property painter and model checking functions.

  ◇ Supporting of CCS’s 2D hull structure model data exchange format (SSD-2D), which can facilitate data exchange with other industry software. Now, has accomplished model data importing from 3D ship design software NAPA Steel.

  ◇Automated structural idealization checking and multi-section/one-click rule assessment, providing comprehensive rule evaluation and diversified result analysis tools.
