Second Seminar on China Shipping Industry in the UAE Held in Dubai – Strengthening Maritime Ties

The 2nd seminar on China Shipping Industry in the UAE, organized by Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United Arab Emirates and hosted by China Classification Society (CCS), was recently held at the China Pavilion of Expo City Dubai.

H.E. Zeng Jixin, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, attended and delivered a speech. Mr. Zhu Lian, Minister-Counselor at the Embassy, and officials from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai also participated in the event. The seminar brought together representatives from 14 organizations, including CCS, COSCO Shipping Logistics West Asia L.L.C in Dubai, and Chinese Business Council in UAE. The event was chaired by Mr. Chen Jiping, General Manager of CCS Dubai Branch, and received strong support from COSCO Shipping Logistics West Asia L.L.C in Dubai.

Building a Platform for Collaboration
The seminar further strengthened an important platform for exchange and cooperation among Chinese shipping enterprises operating in the UAE. By fostering industry consensus, promoting resource sharing, and enhancing collaborative efforts, the event injected new momentum into deepening practical cooperation in the China-UAE maritime sector and supporting the steady development of Chinese shipping companies in the region.

A Growing Platform
Since the inaugural seminar was held in December 2025, this platform has gradually evolved into a regular exchange mechanism. It continues to encourage enterprises to share experiences, deepen practical cooperation, and better serve China-UAE economic and trade relations as well as regional connectivity.
