Recently, the COSCO Shipping Gemini, a vessel classed by  CCS, was bunkered with 300 tons of green methanol in Hong Kong via a ship-to-ship (STS) mode, while simultaneously completing container loading and unloading operations.

CCS provided end-to-end technical servicescovering operational plans, risk assessment, and emergency response plansfor the bunkering operation by Chimbusco Pan Nation Petro-Chemical Co., Ltd. This followed CCSs support for the“CM HONG KONG”vessel in completing Hong Kong's first green methanol bunkering on March 5.

The operation marks a dual breakthrough in both operational model (STS) and efficiency (simultaneous cargo handling) for green methanol bunkering in Hong Kong.

In recent years, CCS has supported key industry milestones, including China's first LNG bunkering SIMOPs, Northeast Asia's first methanol bunkering, and Hong Kong's first green methanol STS bunkering. CCS also led the development of ISO 22120 for methanol fuelled vessels.
