Recently, the 30th Nor-Shipping grandly opened at Oslo Norway. This exhibition is one of the largest and most influential professional international exhibitions in the global maritime field. The theme of this maritime exhibition is Future-proof, focusing on strategies, solutions, and partnerships needed to navigate the evolving maritime and ocean industries. China Classification Society (CCS) London Maritime Centre and Hamburg Branch attended at the exhibition with multiple new technological achievements on behalf of CCS.
During the exhibition, CCS mainly showcased its latest technological achievements and service capabilities in the field of ships.
On the first day of the exhibition, CCS issued an AiP certificate for three types of ships to Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. They are:
174,000 m3 ice-strengthened LNGC, which is the plus version of the G5 “Changheng” series LNGC launched by Hudong-Zhonghua.
102,000 m3 No.96 ethane carrier, which adopts GTT NO96 membrane type LNG carrier cargo tank and innovatively adopts a three cargo hold design scheme, becoming the most popular among VLEC level.
8000TEU LNG-powered container ship, which is characterized by green environmental protection, safety and reliability, strong cargo capacity, high efficiency and energy saving, flexible gas processing, etc., making it a highly competitive new choice for the shipping industry.
The above three types of ships cover the most promising key areas of green shipping, and focus on high energy efficiency and clean fuel use, with high reliability and market adaptability, providing a more environmentally friendly and flexible Chinese “intelligent manufacturing” solution for the global shipping industry to achieve green, low-carbon (zero carbon) and sustainable development.
The next day, the Chinese Embassy in Norway held the second China-Norway Green Cooperation Seminar on “Sailing together to a Green Future”, and CCS was invited to attend the event. About 150 people from the political, business, research, and academic sectors of China and Norway gathered together to provide suggestions and exchange ideas on issues related to sustainable marine economy and green shipping.
At the seminar, Ms.Liang Jing, Director of the London Maritime Centre, spoke on behalf of CCS. She introduced the research achievements and solutions of CCS green technology to the attendees, and shared successful cases of new energy ships.
This exhibition has not only enhanced CCS’s overseas popularity, but also deepened CCS’s cooperation with partners in jointly promoting the global shipping industry’s emission reduction process and achieving green development.
