China Classification Society Attends the Second Shipowners and Ship Management Forum in Saudi Arabia

On April 23, the Second Annual Ship Owners & Operators Forum in Saudi Arabia, hosted by the Transport General Authority (TGA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was held in Al Khobar. His Excellency the Acting President of TGA Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al-Rumaih delivered a speech at the event. Chen Jiping, General Manager of the China Classification Society (CCS) Dubai Branch, and Zhu Chenglei, Head of CCS Dammam Office, were invited to attend.

The forum aimed to accelerate industry collaboration in Saudi Arabia and promote the continuous development and innovation of the regional maritime sector. Zhou Chunqi, Business Development Manager of CCS Dubai Branch, delivered a keynote report titled "The Application of New Maritime Technologies," introducing CCS’s advancements and services in emerging fields such as technological development, green fuels, lithium battery-powered ships, and hydrogen fuel cells.  

 


 

During discussions with Chen Jiping’s delegation, Mr. Essam Alammari, Deputy of Maritime Transport Sector at TGA, expressed gratitude for CCS’s strong support in personnel training and emphasized the desire to strengthen cooperation in training and technical exchanges.    Chen Jiping remarked that the forum provided an excellent opportunity to   engage with Saudi Arabia’s maritime industry, adding that CCS Dubai Branch would actively facilitate regional technical exchanges and commercial development.
