China Classification Society (CCS) and MAN Energy Solutions Held Technical Exchange and the Certificate-awarding Ceremony for Dual-fuel Engine Subsystem

On May 20, MAN Energy Solutions visited China Classification Society (CCS) for in-depth exchanges on the decarbonization solutions for ships, approval of alternative fuel engines, and retrofitting of methanol engines.

 

 

 

CCS issued the first design approval certificate for dual-fuel subsystem to MAN ES, which applies to MAN ES’s Diesel cycle high-pressure natural gas engine (GI), Otto cycle low-pressure natural gas engine (GA), methanol fuel engine (LGI-M), and liquefied petroleum gas engine (LGI-P).

 

In addition, the two parties have made a thorough discussion on the management and quality control, alternative fuel engine specification structure, testing, and emission testing in the real ship renovation, and hoped to cooperate in more technical fields in the future.
