1 This guideline is applicable to the echo sounders on sea-going ships (including high speed ships).
2 The performance standards specified in this guideline are applicable to the ships having a navigation speed of 0~30kn.
3 The echo sounder is used to provide reliable navigational information of the water depth below the ship, especially in shallow waters.
