GUIDELINES FOR CLIENTS ON SAFETY OF SURVEY

According to the occupational safety and health policy issued by IACS(www.iacs.org.uk), CCS has established Occupational Health and Safety Management System for the purpose of guaranteeing the occupational health and safety of CCS surveyors and promoting the occupational health and safety management of maritime community continually. The systematic identification and management of occupational health and safety (OSH) risks faced by surveyors in the space of clients to be surveyed are the core contents of CCS Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

With regard to occupational health and safety risks faced by surveyors in the space of clients to be surveyed, appropriate control measures have been established by CCS according to applicable laws and regulations, industry standards, IACS requirements and safety practices which may be used for reference, based on which the Guidelines for Clients for Safety of Survey are developed.

The Guidelines contain requirements for providing basic conditions for safety of survey to CCS surveyors entering facilities and locations in relation to the requested survey service, which are to be met by clients applying for CCS classification and statutory survey services.
