On May 6, 2025, the Dubai Promotional Event for the Shanghai International Shipping Center and North Bund International Shipping Forum was successfully held.

On May 6, 2025, the Dubai Promotional Event for the Shanghai International Shipping Center and North Bund International Shipping Forum was successfully held. Organized by the Office of the Organizing Committee of the North Bund International Shipping Forum and hosted by the UK-based Seatrade Maritime Media Group, the event attracted approximately 150 elite professionals from the global shipping industry. It established a robust platform for communication and collaboration between Shanghai and the UAE in the maritime sector. Attendees included Zhang Yiming, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE; Yu Fulin, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission; Chen Jiping, General Manager of CCS Dubai Branch; and representatives from DP World and UAE-based shipping enterprises.  

 


 

During the event, a high-level dialogue titled"Shanghai-UAE Shipping Cooperation" took place. Moderated by Chris Morley, Editorial Director of Seatrade Maritime, CCS Dubai Branch’s General Manager Chen Jiping participated in the discussion alongside Luo Wenbin, Chairman and General Manager of Shanghai Port Group Energy Company; Nabil Ben Soussia, Chief Commercial Officer of IEC Telecom Group and President for Asia & the Middle East; and Rami Bleki, CEO of Blue Channel Platform and CEO of NeoNautica. The panel delved into cutting-edge topics such as“Digitalization and Decarbonization: Forward-looking and Practical Solutions,” with a focus on green energy development, AI-based inspection applications, and emerging trends in certification systems.  

 


 

As a supporting organization of the event, CCS actively contributed to advancing the Shanghai International Shipping Center’s development and enhancing the global influence of the North Bund International Shipping Forum. Moving forward, CCS will deepen its engagement in the Belt and Road Initiative, leveraging its strengths to foster stronger partnerships and drive innovation at the intersection of global maritime cooperation.
