Recently, China Classification Society (CCS) and Maritime Transport Dept. Ministry of Interior , State of Kuwait formally signed the Statutory Survey Authorization Agreement.

Recently, China Classification Society (CCS) and Maritime Transport Dept. Ministry of Interior , State of Kuwait formally signed the Statutory Survey Authorization Agreement. This milestone authorizes CCS as a government-designated statutory Survey organization for Kuwaiti-flagged vessels, enabling CCS to provide statutory surveys, certification audits, and maritime technical services for ships under the Kuwaiti flag. The signing of this agreement will further deepen maritime cooperation between China and Kuwait and elevate CCS’s service capabilities and international influence in the Middle East.  

 


 

Under the agreement, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, as the flag state authority, has empowered CCS to conduct statutory Surveys and certification audits for vessels registered in Kuwait in compliance with international conventions and Kuwaiti national regulations. This authorization not only reflects Kuwait’s comprehensive recognition of CCS’s technical expertise, regulatory framework, and service quality but also injects new momentum into collaborative efforts to build a regional shipping hub.  

 


 

Moving forward, CCS will leverage its global service network to deliver more efficient and high-quality Survey services for Kuwaiti-flagged vessels. It will further promote Sino-Kuwaiti collaborative innovation in cutting-edge fields such as green shipping and smart vessels, contributing to the high-quality development of Kuwait’s maritime industry and that of neighboring countries.
