On June 18,
2026, the 175,000-cubic-metre LNG carrier SEA CREATION was officially named and
delivered in Dalian. Built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. for China
Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd.？ and classed by China Classification
Society (CCS), this is the third vessel in the series. CCS Vice President Zhang
Qingwen attended the ceremony.

Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd... Her core performance metrics – speed, maneuverability,
vibration and noise – all rank among the best in class. Her cargo handling
system has proven stable and reliable throughout sea trials, enabling safe and
efficient berthing at the vast majority of LNG terminals worldwide. The vessel
adds significant capacity to China’s LNG carrier fleet, enhancing energy supply
chain stability with industry-leading efficiency.
