About the vessel:

As the first vessel in its series, WINNING AMBITION measures 329.99 metres in length and features a range of 37,000 nautical miles. Her Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) meets Phase III – the highest standard – and she is equipped with a 12,000 m3 methanol fuel tank, independent of the fuel oil tanks, capable of supporting round-trip voyages between China and Guinea. The vessel also features a shaft generator and a high-voltage shore power system, striking a balance between energy efficiency and green, low-carbon development.

Behind the scenes:

During the plan approval phase, CCS actively presented the latest research outcomes and technical expertise in the ore carrier sector. Working closely with multiple partners, CCS resolved a number of technical challenges – including requirements for water ingress in cargo holds, rapid loading, and methanol fuel tank layout – and put forward a number of suggestions and recommendations for optimizing ship designs. These efforts further strengthened stakeholders’ recognition of CCS’s technical capabilities in ore carrier projects.

Meanwhile, CCS carried out thorough production design drawings review and 3D model review, promptly addressed on-site issues, and maintained close collaboration with both shipowner and shipyard throughout the project. CCS’s dedicated support and efficient execution earned high praise from both sides.
