China Classification Society makes a stunning appearance at the 2026 Singapore Maritime Week

On April 21, Zhao Yan, President of China Classification Society (CCS), led a delegation to participate in the 2026 Singapore Maritime Week series of events, showcasing CCS's technological achievements and service capabilities in recent years across sectors such as green shipping and digital transformation.

 

The Singapore Maritime Week, organized by the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), is a highly influential comprehensive maritime event in the Asia-Pacific region. Previous editions have attracted participation from over 100 countries and regions worldwide, with approximately 35,000 industry professionals in attendance. The scale of exhibitions and forums has continued to expand, and its international influence has steadily grown. In 2026, marking its 20th edition, the event brings together representatives from government agencies, industry organizations, and enterprises across the global shipping sector to deepen exchanges and foster practical cooperation on core topics such as green and low-carbon transformation and digital development.

 

During the event, the CCS stand attracted widespread attention. Mr.Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Transport, visited the CCS stand and engaged in discussions with on-site personnel on topics including green shipping development, technological innovation, and industry collaboration.

Leaders from Hudong-Zhonghua and Shandong Maritime visited the CCS .

 

Representatives from various stakeholders in the industry chain also visited CCS for exchanges. Senior executives from leading domestic shipping and shipbuilding companies such as Shandong Maritime Transport and Hudong-Zhonghua met at the booth to discuss fleet development and technical services; the CEO of international shipping firm Conbulk also visited the booth to exchange views on potential collaboration opportunities.

 CCS highlighted the maritime technology service system developed in recent years, using the "Collection of Maritime Technology Services and Solutions" as its central showcase. It systematically presented integrated solutions across key areas including greenhouse gas reduction, alternative fuel applications, smart ships, cyber security, and digital compliance, attracting numerous professional visitors for interaction and further enhancing the international influence of the CCS technology service brand.

 

Through the Singapore Maritime Week event, CCS further strengthened its collaboration and exchanges with the international shipping industry, demonstrating its comprehensive technical capabilities in green, low-carbon, and digital development.
