The "Guo Yun Hai Vessel
The "Guo Yun Hai" is a new-generation multi-purpose grain transport vessel independently developed and designed in China, and it is the first 80,000-ton multi-purpose grain transport vessel built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for COSCO Shipping Development. With a total length of 229.95 meters, this vessel type was developed to meet the demands of professional and large-scale grain transportation by integrating the advantages of multi-purpose shipbuilding. The successful delivery of this vessel provides crucial transportation capacity support for national grain transportation and China manufacturing exports, while also fully demonstrating CCS's professional expertise and service capabilities in the field of multi-purpose transport vessels.
Professional empowerment upgrade to boost green shipping development
The 80,000-ton multi-purpose grain carrier demonstrates exceptional adaptability and high technical integration, meeting dual requirements for grain transportation and versatile cargo handling. Addressing optimization needs in smart ship systems, load distribution systems, dehumidification/ventilation systems, energy-efficient cabin systems, and gas detection systems, CCS leverages its extensive expertise in multi-purpose transport vessels to actively participate in ship design, key technology node control, and construction process standardization, providing comprehensive technical support and service assurance throughout the entire lifecycle. Particularly in response to newly implemented maritime cyber-security requirements, CCS 'technical team conducted continuous front-line testing to assist shipyards in overcoming cyber-security compliance challenges. This vessel has become China's first multi-purpose transport ship meeting International Association for Classification Societies (IACS) UR E26 standards and obtaining CCS Cyber-security Additional Mark certification.
Industry stakeholders collaborate to jointly create premium engineering projects
During this construction phase, CCS collaborated closely with shipowners, shipyards, and design institutes, leveraging its technical expertise and bridging role in the industry to connect upstream and downstream supply chains. The company facilitated deep technological integration and provided specialized services including "technical customization" and "large-scale project solutions" tailored for multi-purpose vessel projects. CCS Headquarters 'International Ship Inspection Business Operations Center and the Large Project Team conducted multiple on-site visits to construction sites, engaging in technical exchanges with shipowners and shipyards to promptly address challenges and provide on-site survey guidance. The Dalian Branch also actively supported the collaborative efforts of the multi-purpose transport vessel construction project's Party-building consortium, ensuring high-quality vessel delivery through coordinated support measures.
Going forward, CCS will steadfastly uphold its philosophy of 'safety and quality assurance' and 'customer value-driven services,' continuously driving innovation and breakthroughs to deliver comprehensive support for its subsequent fleet of multi-purpose grain carriers.
