Recently, China Classification Society (CCS) awarded Weichai Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Weichai Heavy Machinery") the Digital Application Accreditation Certificate for Diesel Engine Product Inspection. Weichai Heavy Machinery is the first diesel engine manufacturer in the industry to fully develop and obtain recognition for digital application development in accordance with the new "L3" class requirements of CCS's "Digital Application Guide for Marine Product Inspection" (referred to as the "Guide"). This marks the full-scale promotion of CCS's digital application for product inspection among industry demonstration enterprises. Ju Liqiang, Director of the International inspection Management Department of CCS, and Fu Qiang, Chairman of Weichai Heavy Machinery, attended the certification ceremony.

    At the ceremony, Ju Liqiang stated that Weichai Heavy Machinery is recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as an "Excellence-Level Intelligent Factory for Flexible Manufacturing of the Entire Value Chain of Large-Diameter Ship Power." As the main force and national team in national ship inspection, CCS bears the responsibility of promoting high-quality development in the shipbuilding industry. In recent

    years, CCS has combined the development trends of intelligent and green manufacturing in the shipbuilding industry, striving to innovate inspection service models and boost high-quality industry development. The issuance of this certificate is a model achievement of close collaboration between CCS and industry-leading enterprises in jointly advancing digital transformation and upgrading. Starting from July 2025, Information Technology & Consulting Center, Qingdao branch of CCS and Weichai Heavy Machinery will form a professional team to fully comply with the guidelines, jointly confirm the accreditation plan, and achieve automatic interaction and verification of data throughout the process from application, inspection to certification issuance through steps such as establishing data models, interface testing, and system development. The automatic issuance and push of certificates have significantly reduced manual operations and waiting time, while the efficiency of inspection and certification issuance has been doubled. The issuance of this certificate has a strong exemplary effect on diesel engines and their industrial chains. It is not only a vivid practice of CCS in improving customer service quality and efficiency, but also a solid step with industry demonstration significance in advancing the "Digital Classification Society" process.
