On April.11th, 2025,China Classification Society (CCS) is pleased to announce that Mr. Zhao Yan has been appointed as the new President of CCS, effective immediately. This appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Sun Feng, who has served as President with exemplary dedication and has now reached the age of retirement after a distinguished career.

Mr. Sun Feng, during his tenure as President, made significant contributions to CCS's global reputation, technological innovation, and commitment to maritime safety and sustainability.

Mr. Zhao Yan, a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience in maritime regulation, engineering, and strategic management, assumes the role of President with a proven track record of excellence.His vision and expertise will further strengthen CCS’s mission to uphold safety, environmental protection and creating value for clients and society.

The transition reflects CCS’s commitment to continuity and progress. We are confident that under President Zhao Yan’s leadership, CCS will continue to thrive as a trusted partner to the global maritime community.
