Recently, Chen Jiping, General Manager of China Classification Society (CCS) Dubai
Branch, led a team to attend ShipTek International Conference & Awards 2025-Dubai. It is worth mentioning that CCS was awarded the winner of Excellence in Ship Safety Award at the conference.
Since its inception in 2008, SHIPTEK has become a globally renowned name in the maritime industry, traveling to major maritime hubs such as Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Greece, Hamburg, and India.
This event includes two days of conference discussions and the presentation of annual maritime awards. The conference includes 14 keynote speeches and 3 group discussions, mainly covering current hot topics such as the development trend of clean energy for ships, technology sharing in emerging fields, and development of supporting services for ships.
Zhou Chunqi, Business Development Manager of CCS Dubai Branch, delivered a keynote speech on the “Roadmap Review about EU ETS”, elaborated on the important role played by CCS in the international carbon tax development process, and shared CCS’s practical experience in promoting industry green transformation and providing carbon emission assessment and optimization services for ship owners, fully demonstrating CCS’s technical reserves and service capabilities in the field of low-carbon emission reduction.
During the conference, CCS Dubai Branch had in-depth exchanges with multiple shipping companies, management companies, consulting firms, etc., introduced CCS’s service capabilities and business situation, and explored the potential areas of cooperation, laying the foundation for deepening cooperation in the future.
During the award ceremony, CCS representative stated in his acceptance speech that on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, this honor is a recognition of CCS’s hard work and dedication over the past year, as well as an expectation and planning for the future journey.
As the new year begins, let us also start anew. 2025 is the final year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. Standing at a new starting point, CCS will strive to better serve local development, strengthen cooperation with the local shipping industry, and jointly promote the safe, sound, and sustainable development of the shipping industry.
