On September 3, 2024, the world-renowned Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology International Trade Fair Hamburg (SMM) 2024 grandly kicked off at the Hamburg Messe und Congress.

On September 3, 2024, the world-renowned Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology International Trade Fair Hamburg (SMM) 2024 grandly kicked off at the Hamburg Messe und Congress. SMM is currently the largest, highest level, and most influential professional maritime trade exhibition in the world’s shipbuilding industry, and is known as the “world’s largest shipbuilding maritime event”. This exhibition has attracted 2,300 exhibitors from about 100 countries and regions. Among them, there are about 200 Chinese exhibitors. Zhao Yan, Vice President of China Classification Society (CCS) attended the event with his delegation.

 


 

At this exhibition, CCS has comprehensively showcased the application of new technologies in ships, including green technology, intelligence, digitization, etc., the achievements in ship safety, new survey and testing methods, industry data interconnection, etc. as well as advanced and innovative service capabilities of related service products.

 

On the first day of the exhibition, numerous distinguished guests gathered at the CCS stand. The leaders and industry friends from the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Hamburg, well-known shipping companies at home and abroad, shipyards, design companies, product manufacturers, service providers, etc. visited CCS stand. CCS exhibitors actively communicated with the clients and showcased CCS’s new technologies and products to them.
