China Classification Society UAE Committee Foundation Ceremony & First Annual Conference Were Successfully Held

On February 28, China Classification Society UAE Committee Foundation Ceremony & First Annual Conference were successfully held. The UAE Committee conference was hosted by CCS Dubai Branch, and over 50 representatives from government agencies, shipowners, management companies, financial institutions, etc. were invited to attend the conference.

 

 

 

At the conference, Mr. Zhou Biao, Minister at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in UAE, and Ms. Hanan Ekhzaimy, representative of the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, delivered a speech respectively. CCS President Sun Feng granted an appointment letter to the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Members of the UAE Committee respectively.

 

At the conference, CCS made three special reports named “Development Report of China Classification Society”, “Practice and Prospect of Using Green Marine Fuels”, and “2023 Port State Control Data and Analysis” to the guests to further showcase CCS’s excellent achievements in fleet development, green emission reduction technology research, port state performance improvement, etc. in recent years. A lively CCS special course was presented to all committee members and guests, sparking a warm response among the attendees.

 

Mr. Majid Nakhli, a member of the CCS UAE  Committee, said,

 

The sessions were not only informative but also proved to be highly valuable in gaining a deeper understanding of future developments in marine industry.

 

I am particularly grateful for the time and effort you invested in preparing and delivering such a fruitful event.”

                                         

During this period, Sun Feng led a team to visit key clients in Dubai, held friendly talks with them on cooperation and common development, and witnessed the signing of relevant agreements.
