Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition was held successfully at the Athens Metropolitan Expo, Greece from June 6 to June 10, 2022. The Exhibition had the largest scale in its history, attracting 1,929 exhibitors from 88 countries and regions in total. During the exhibition, the organizations and companies from over 10 countries held 68 seminars.

In the exhibition, with the vision for “safety, environmental protection, and creating value for customers and society”, China Classification Society (CCS) presented comprehensively the latest technological achievements and service products as well as its overseas service capabilities. On the exhibition stand, CCS showed prominently its technological service capabilities in terms of large ore carriers, container ships and very large crude carriers (VLCCs). In particular, the service products of CCS in the fields, such as LNG bunkering, risk assessment for cyber security, application of the marine environment database and digital technologies, drew extensive attention from the onsite customers. All staff of the CCS Athens Branch proactively participated in, made full use of this opportunity to communicate with Greek customers and customers from all over the world face to face, warmly greeted the customers who visited the exhibition, and directly knew about customer demands.

At the first day of the exhibition, Mr. Xiao Junzheng, the Chinese Ambassador to Greece, visited the exhibition stand of CCS, and communicated heartily with the people participating in the exhibition.

During the exhibition, the CCS exhibition stand attracted many insiders from Marmaras Navigation Co., Ltd./Delta Tankers Ltd, Chartworld/Charterwell Maritime S.A., Golden Union Enterprises SA and Diana Shipping Services S.A. in the Greek jurisdiction area, COSCO Shipping Piraeus Port Authority S.A, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. and other organizations to have business communications and discussion and learn about the latest technological dynamics and service products of CCS. The CCS participant was communicating face to face with new and familiar customers at the exhibition site to promote and introduce the latest technological development and discuss the future development trend and cooperation space.

CCS also visited the exhibition stands of the related organizations at home and abroad, and fulfilled friendly communication, laying a solid foundation for the follow-up extensive cooperation and further expanding the influence of CCS in the industrial community.

HONGKONG RETURN

Notably, in order to enrich the activities of the CCS exhibition stand and to show the colorful culture of China, the families of the employees from the CCS Athens Branch were specially invited to root for the exhibition. They presented Chinese calligraphy works to the customers of the jurisdiction area as souvenirs, attracting many foreign friends to watch, and that becomes a highlight of this exhibition.
