The Ship Cyber Security Laboratory serves the implementation of
cyber security technology in the shipbuilding industry by addressing the demand
of implementing cyber security for the shipbuilding and shipping industries,
solving cyber security problems in the industries, conducting basic researches
on ship cyber security and application, and providing technical support and
practical experience for the establishment of industry technical standards. Teams
of ship cyber security technical standards research, ship cyber security risk
evaluation, and ship cyber security technology accreditation have been set up,
and thus has acquired the capability of monitoring, evaluation and enhancement
of ship cyber security.
● Technology research capabilities
CCS has issued the Guidelines
for Requirements and Security Assessment of Ship Cyber Systems, formed teams
of ship cyber security technical standards research, ship cyber security risk
assessment, and ship cyber security technology accreditation, and participated
in the formulation of IACS related technical requirements and ISO international
standards for ship cyber security.
● Cyber security assessment
capability
Relying on the "Intelligent Ship 1.0" project of MIIT, CCS
has set up a ship cyber security assessment platform equipped with the ship
cyber security testing, ship cyber security vulnerability scanning and
configuration verification capabilities. CCS has also carried out cyber
security risk assessment of the VLOC & VLCC dual-purpose ship under the
"Intelligent Ship 1.0" project, inspection of the 13,500 TEU of China
Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO) for compliance with the IACS guidelines,
and the cyber security assessment of the world's first smart ship 38800DWT bulk
carrier.
● Technical services and training
capabilities
Combining with the relevant requirements of IMO and IACS, CCS
conducts internal and external training relating to the Guidelines for Requirement and Security Assessment of Ship Cyber System
and improves its cyber security technical service capability to
assist shipping companies to incorporate ISM system into the technical service on cyber security requirements. So far it has provided such
service to COSCO.
