Rule Change Notice for Guidelines for Type Approval of Ship’s Ballast Water Management Systems(2025 RCN No.1)

This change notice incorporates the BWM.2/Circ.43/Rev.2（2024 Guidance for Administrations on the type approval process for ballast water management systems) into the " Guidelines for Type Approval of SHIP’s Ballast Water Management Systems 2022". The main revisions are as follows:

(1) Update the document BWM.2/Circ.43/Rev. 1 originally referenced in the guidelines to BWM.2/Circ.43/Rev. 2.

(2) Further supplement and explain the definition of "main components". Add the definition of "non major components".

(3) Add "Appendix 2 Examples of Major Components and Minor Components of the Ballast Water Management System".
