The current position：

PSC Notice — Paris MoU launches CIC on MLC 2006

It was noted that the Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Port State Control will launch a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC,2006). The aim of the CIC is to verify that the minimum standards for working and living conditions have been implemented on board.

CCS Recommendations:

1.  To organize an on board training, focus on requirements/measures in DMLC part I & II, especially for the crew’s own rights and interests,

2.  To examine the on board implementation, mainly but not limit to the questions on the questionnaire,

3.  For the question 1-11, to ensure the compliance for every crew member, every record, every certificate, if there are any certificates invalid, to immediately make arrangements.
