Recently, China Classification Society (CCS), together with Singapore’s SDTR Marine Pte Ltd. (SDTR) and Shanghai’s Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI), jointly developed the world's first 85,000DWT Ammonia-Fueled Bulk Carrier. A cloud certification ceremony was held, on behalf of CCSHQ, whom issued an Approval in Principle (AIP) for the project to SDTR and SDARI.
On February 9, the Dalian Branch of China Classification Society (CCS) issued the first CCS principle approval certificate for marine products of jet pilot direct-injection ammonia engine combustion technology to Dalian University of Technology. Zhang Hui, General Manager of the Dalian Branch, Yao Shan, Vice President of Dalian University of Technology, and relevant leaders and experts from both sides attended the certificate issuing ceremony.
On the 1st of February, the 85000 DWT bulk carrier "SEACON NOLA" surveyed by China Classification Society (CCS) and built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited was successfully delivered. Mr. Fan Qiang – Vice President of CCS was invited to the delivery and naming ceremony.
