On March 5, the world's first methanol dual-fuel powered roll-on/roll-off ship, the "CM HONG KONG" successfully completed its first green methanol bunkering operation in Hong Kong. Under the theme "Tidal Surges in Hong Kong, Green Journey Begins," the bunkering ceremony was jointly organized by China Merchants Shipping, Sinopec (Hong Kong), and CIMC Anruike, and held at the Hong Kong Legislative Council Complex. Wang Yongxin, General Manager of China Merchants Shipping, Chan Mable, Secretary of the Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and legislators Yan Gang and Lam Ming-fung of the Legislative Council delivered speeches respectively. Fan Qiang, General Manager of CCS Hong Kong , was invited to attend the ceremony, where he witnessed this significant moment alongside over a hundred representatives from the shipping, energy, equipment manufacturing, and financial sectors.

For this bunkering project, CCS provided end-to-end technical services and quality control, focusing on critical aspects including vessel technical adaptation, fuel system safety, operational standardization, and risk mitigation. The Wuhan Rules and Research Institute developed a ship-to-ship methanol refueling plan, risk assessment, and contingency response study. CCS Hong Kong monitored anticipated vessel loading adjustments, collected meteorological data for technical reports, and assisted in obtaining Hong Kong operational licenses for the bunkering vessel. Additionally, CCS HongKong  dispatched personnel to board the ship for on-site refueling, collaborating with the operational team and crew to finalize decisions on mooring arrangements, fuel hose connections, and collision prevention measures, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of the refueling operation.
