Recently, the Hong Kong Shipowners Association hosted the "Maritime Decarbonization and Sustainability" conference at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum. Nearly 200 experts and practitioners from government agencies, shipping companies, classification societies, and related fields attended. CCS Hong Kong Branch and Overseas Technology Center were invited to participate.
Mr. Qin Aohan, Technical Manager of the Overseas Technology Center, represented CCS in a panel discussion. He engaged in in-depth exchanges with representatives from Pacific Basin Shipping (HK) Limited and Fleet Management Limited on key topics including MEPC83 outcomes, global green fuel transition, and Hong Kong's green fuel bunkering hub development. He also actively responded to questions from moderators and attendees.
Ms. Chen Peishan, Managing Director of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association, expressed appreciation for the insightful presentations, noting that the conference's success demonstrated Hong Kong's shipping community's proactive preparation and steadfast commitment to green shipping.
The event was attended by Mr. Liao Zhenxin, Deputy Secretary for Transport and Logistics; Mr. Shi Qiang, Deputy Director of Marine Department; and Mr. Bao Xiaobing, Deputy General Manager of CCS Hong Kong Branch.
