On February 10, the unveiling ceremony of China Classification Society (CCS) Doha Office was officially held, which is an important measure for CCS to jointly build the high-quality development of the “the Belt and Road”, further take root in the Middle East market and improve the service network.

CCS Vice President Zhao Yan stated in his speech, “The Doha Office will serve as a cooperation bridge between CCS and Qatar shipping industry. Our expert team will provide tailored services in ship classification, offshore engineering, certification, and risk management, to ensure that our Qatar clients receive our precise service and solutions.. 

 


 

Wu Yi, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Qatar, was invited to attend the unveiling ceremony and deliver a speech. Counselor Wu Yi pointed out: “the establishment of the CCS branch in Qatar is yet another vivid example of the pragmatic cooperation between China and Qatar. I am so happy to see that CCS has already participated in Qatar's giant shipbuilding program. I also hope that CCS will continue to deepen its cooperation with Qatari partners, providing high-quality services to further promote trade and economic relations between our two countries.” 

 



 

Regional client representative Captain Ali Ibhrihim Alghadhi, Marine head of WOQOD, congratulated on the establishment of the Doha Office. Zhou Chunqi, Business Development manager of CCS Dubai Branch, introduced CCS’s business development in the global and Middle East regions in recent years.

 


 

Finally, CCS Vice President Zhao Yan and Captain Ali Ibhrihim Alghadhi jointly unveiled the plaque for the Doha Office in the presence of Counsellor Wu Yi and Mr. Saleh Bin Fetais Al Marri, a special guest from the Qatar Ministry of Transport.
