China Classification Society (CCS) Witnessed the Successful Completion of the 2200T Crane Test on “JIA RUI SHUN” Ship
Recently, the 110%
load (2420T) test witnessed by China Classification Society (CCS) was
completed, which marks the successful completion of the 2200T crane test on
“JIA RUI SHUN” ship after days and nights of hard work.
It is reported
that the 2200T crane of “JIA RUI SHUN” ship has been the largest offshore
lifting equipment manufactured in southern China so far. It was designed and
manufactured by CSSC South China Marine Machinery Co., Ltd. (known as “SCM”),
and is also the crane with the largest lifting capacity in the history of SCM.
The difficulty of
this test mainly lies in conducting a floating full rotation test on a
transverse and longitudinal inclination of 1.5 °/1.5 ° for 1800t at load 100%
and load curve II and on a transverse and longitudinal inclination of 3°/2°
for 2200t at load 100% and load curve I.
Before the test,
the ship surveyors of CCS Guangzhou Branch have actively communicated with SCM
to properly implement such issues as no-load test, alarm points, ship stability,
etc.
In the load test
on May 14, the weight of water in water bag was gradually increased from 300t
to 2420t, and the entire main hook load test lasted for two days and two
nights. Through careful verification by the on-site testing personnel, the
crane has successfully completed all test items.
