Shao Qihui, General Manager of China Classification Society (CCS) Dubai Branch,
led a team to attend the ShipTek 2024 Annual Conference in Saudi Arabia. Since
its establishment in 2008, ShipTek has developed into one of the most popular
maritime activities in the Middle East region. This year marks ShipTek’s first
annual conference in Saudi Arabia, and CCS was invited to participate in this
annual event as a representative of the classification societies in the Middle
East region.
Zhou Chunqi from
CCS Dubai Branch gave a special report on “Offshore wind energy: from now to
future” on behalf of CCS. He made a detailed introduction to the current
situation and future development of offshore wind energy from the aspects of
energy development, market analysis, development trends, technical services, etc. He also had on-site
discussions with the attending representatives on issues including offshore
wind power use, blade transportation, etc.
This event has
fully demonstrated CCS’s rich experience and technical strength in offshore
wind power. CCS will continue to work together with the industry to promote the
green process of low-carbon emissions reduction, and is committed to the
safety, environmental-friendly, and sustainable development of the shipping and
offshore industries.
