Known as a barometer of the development trends of international maritime industry technology, Marintec China 2023 was held in Shanghai from December 5th to 8th. It was held offline after an interval of 4 years.

On the first day of the event, China Classification Society (CCS) held a Seminar on Ship Digital and Intelligent Technology.

CCS Vice President Zhao Yan attended the marine digital and intelligent technology exchange conference and delivered a speech. He pointed out that the current development of digital and intelligent technology and industrial transformation are reshaping the ecology and development pattern of the shipping industry, and ship digitalization and intelligence will be the key directions for future international shipping technology competition. He also called on the industry to deepen mutual understanding and build closer ties.

At the meeting, the current development status of ship digitalization and intelligence technology has been summarized, and prospects for the future development trends have been made. The experts from CCS, enterprises, research institutes, etc. have conducted presentations on the theme of “Digital and Intelligent”, receiving overwhelming response.

During the technical exchange conference, CCS has also held an certificating ceremony, and issued an AIP certificate for marine products for the visual navigation awareness system of Marautec (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a type approval certificate for the intelligent information platform of CSSC Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute, and a statement of compliance for the cyber security of computer based systems for the digital operation support system of Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI).

Through this new technology exchange conference, CCS has showcased the latest technological achievements of China in the field of ship digitalization and intelligence to the industry, discussed the key and difficult issues in the development process of ship “digital intelligence”, and exchanged ideas with relevant units on relevant technical cooperation directions. Next, CCS will leverage its technological advantages, actively serve industry development and customer needs, and provide strong support for the development of shipping “digital intelligence”.
