1 The Guidelines apply to the initial works approval and inspection of cast iron products manufactured in accordance with the requirements in CCS Rules for Classification of Sea-going Steel Ships and CCS Rules for Materials and Welding.
2 The Guidelines also apply to the initial works approval and inspection of air cylinder heads and other graphite cast iron products (e.g. vermicular graphite cast iron).
