On August 11, the Pearl River Night Cruise ship "Starship Navigation", which was built by Yinghui Southern Shipbuilding (Guangzhou Panyu) Co., Ltd. for Guangzhou Star Cruise Co., Ltd. with a capacity of 428 passengers, was successfully launched at Xiaohu Island base in Nansha,Guangzhou,China. The Guangzhou branch of China Classification Society (CCS) was invited to attend the launching ceremony.

The ship is a battery-powered, full-rotation propulsion steel twin hull tourist passenger ship on the inland river. The ship is 43.4 meters long, enters CCS classification, has the auxiliary driving function, and is characterized by green, low-carbon, intelligent and comfortable. It has obtained a number of relevant additional marks.

The ship is the first to use 3D holographic projection technology, which can flexibly design diversified appearances according to seasons, scenery and event themes. With the help of dynamic 3D holographic visual effects, it brings a brand-new experience to tourists. This will effectively enhance the quality of Pearl River water tourism and create a new landscape line for Guangzhou's Pearl River night tour.

Since the project's inception, Guangzhou Branch has actively collaborated with shipowners, design institutes, and shipyards to conduct risk assessments for the three-electric systems (battery system, electric propulsion system, and electronic control system), as well as auxiliary navigation function analyses. In coordination with construction schedules, the team proactively engaged with shipyards, manufacturers, and design institutes to complete reviews of key procedures including onshore joint debugging, fault mode and effect analysis verification tests, mooring and navigation trials. They also assisted shipyards in technical briefings and promptly resolved various technical issues.

CCS Guangzhou Branch will continue to strengthen communication with all parties in the subsequent construction process, continue to provide quality services, and ensure the smooth delivery of the ship on time.
