he Experts of the Greek Shipping Community Gathered Together to Attend the Maritime Salon Jointly Held by China Classification Society (CCS) and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Greece

the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Greece and China
Classification Society (CCS) jointly held a maritime salon. More than 100
people attended the event, including Xiao Junzheng, Ambassador to the Embassy
of Greece, CCS President Sun Feng, renowned Greek shipowner Palios Simos,
GeorgeD. Pateras, Chairman of Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, as well as
representatives of Chinese funded enterprises in Greece attending the 2024
Posidonia, well-known media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency.
In his speech,
Xiao Junzheng said that he is pleased to work with CCS to build an exchange platform
for Chinese and Greek shipping professionals to discuss and promote cooperation
in the shipping and shipbuilding fields during the 28th Posidonia. He hoped
that the Chinese and Greek shipping communities can further deepen dialogue and
exchanges through mutual exhibitions and other means to seek more win-win
cooperation.
Hong Bo, Director
of the Classed Ship in Service Department at CCS Headquarters, shared and
exchanged views on the situation and analysis of Port State Control (PSC),
especially the situation and focus of MSA inspection in China.
Gan Shaowei,
Director of CCS Wuhan Rules &Research Institute, shared and exchanged views
on the recent decarbonization technologies for ships concerned by the
shipowners, as well as the analysis and solutions for common faults during the
operation of decarbonization equipment.
CCS and the
attending guests had a warm exchange and discussion on relevant hot issues. The
participants said that the salon has further promoted exchanges and cooperation
between the China and Greece shipping communities, expanded the influence of
CCS in Greece, and helped both sides to explore new situations of win-win
cooperation.
