RULES FOR MATERIALS AND WELDING 2025 AMENDMENTS

The 2025 Amendments to the Rules for Materials and Welding will take effect on 1 July 2025.

 

The 2025 Amendments are based on the analysis and study of CCS on the application of the unified requirements of IACS in the past year and the feedback from the users of the Rules.

 

Main contents of the revisions are as follows:

PART One

1. Revision of the marking and conformity certificate requirements for copper propellers. 

 

PART Two

1. New inspection requirements for cargo bearer for low temperature liquid cargo tanks. 

 

PART Three

1.Revise the implementation requirements for the appearance inspection of hull structure and piping welds.

2. Revise the requirements for non-destructive testing range of aluminum alloy hull structure after welding.
