1 This Chapter is applicable to the works approval and inspection of the seamless steel pipes and tubes, which are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of CCS Rules for Materials and Welding.
2 This Chapter is applicable to the manufacture of seamless pressure steel pipes of carbon and carbon-manganese steels, which are made of killed steel by rolling, expanding or drawing. Reference may also be made to in this Chapter for pipes of low-alloy steel, alloy steel pipes and tubes. This Chapter does not apply to welded steel pipes.
3 The classification of pressure piping systems is to comply with the requirements of CCS Rules for Classification of Sea-going Steel Ships.
