On November 20, 2024, the 77,000T series multi-purpose pulp carriers GREEN PECEM and GREEN SUAPE were named at the same time. They were drawing reviewed and construction surveyed by China Classification Society (CCS). Zhang Hui, General Manager of CCS Dalian Branch was invited to attend the naming ceremony.

The ship, 225m long, 32.26m wide, 21m deep, has a structural draft of 14.5m, a speed of 15 knots, and an endurance of 25,000 nautical miles. The ships compartment layout has been optimized to have 8 cargo holds. In addition to transporting pulp, it can also be used to transport various goods including grains, iron ore, automobiles, high-speed trains, wind power equipment, large machinery, and ultra-long and overweight steel pipe pile structures. Conventional containers can be loaded on the deck and cargo hold, and refrigerated containers can also be loaded on the deck. The cargo hold has also been upgraded to load the foldable commodity vehicle special frame independently developed by COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd., and a one-to-one temperature monitoring and warning system for new energy vehicles is added to facilitate domestic new energy vehicles to go abroad in large quantities.

The main and auxiliary engines of this ship are equipped with SCR system and EGCS system, and the NOx emissions meet TIER III requirements. It has obtained the additional mark SEC (EGCS) for SOx emission control, and is equipped with energy-saving devices such as front pre-swirl guide wheels and vortex eliminators; the ship design meets the CCS Rules for Green-Eco Ships and the CCS Rules for Intelligent Ships, with green, energy-saving and environmental protection design concepts, technical advancement and environmental friendliness. Its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) far exceeds the requirements of Phase III of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and it has obtained the symbols G-EP and G-ECO for CCS green-eco ships.

In the face of the tight construction nodes of the 77,000T series multi-purpose pulp carrier project,CCS Dalian Branch has carefully summarized the survey experience and practices of previous ships. During the ship construction process, the drawing review center and the construction site project team have closely followed the shipyards production progress, cooperated closely with the shipowner, shipyard, design unit, management company and other relevant parties, strictly controlled the quality of survey, continuously optimized the construction plan, and fully provided high-quality and efficient survey services and technical support to ensure high-quality delivery of ships and further shorten the construction period. At the same time, it has fully leveraged the technical advantages of CCS, provided comprehensive technical support in upgrading ship cargo adaptability, container loading in the cabin, polar navigation, new energy vehicle loading, etc., and significantly improved the operation economy and competitiveness of the series of pulp carriers, and made positive contributions to the ship type research and rules upgrading of multi-purpose ships, facilitated China in optimizing and upgrading its pulp carrier technology, and worked together with all parties to build an international first-class pulp carrier fleet.
