AIP Certificate Awarding Ceremony for 115,000DWT Ammonia Fuel Oil Tanker
The 115,000 DWT ammonia fuel-powered tanker adopts the latest research and development of a straight ball bow design, ensuring that the ship achieves an excellent carbon emission level upon entering operation. Ammonia fuel is utilized to achieve 'zero-carbon' operation throughout the ship's life cycle (well-to-wake).

AIP Certificate Awaring Ceremony for 114,200 DWT Dual Fuel Methanol Oil Tanker
COSCO SHIPPING Energy Co., Ltd., COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and the 708th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation jointly developed the 114,200 DWT methanol dual-fuel power tanker. It adopts a green methanol dual-fuel power design, and the use of green methanol fuel can achieve a carbon emission reduction of more than 90%. The vessel demonstrates excellent speed index and fuel economy, optimized structural weight, and a high level of intelligence. The performance indicators have reached the international advanced level.

AIP Certificate Awarding Ceremony for 16,000 TEU Container Ship with OCCS
CCS issued the Approval in Principle (AIP) certificate to the 16,000 TEU container ship equipped with Onboard Carbon Capture System (OCCS) by CIMC Marine Engineering Design and Research Institute. The 16,000 TEU container ship is equipped with a high-efficiency carbon capture system, resulting in less than 1% impact on container space compared to conventional ship types. This significant reduction can greatly diminish the levels of Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII). The installation of the carbon capture system is of great significance for achieving the International Maritime Organization (IMO) carbon reduction targets through the adoption of post-processing emission reduction technology.

Ammonia/Oil Dual Fuel Engine Certification Ceremony
The development of CRRC's 12V240H-DFA ammonia fuel engine is based on the ammonia fuel-powered tugboat project of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Group. It further advances the development of the ammonia/diesel dual-fuel engine building upon the foundation of the natural gas dual-fuel engine. After two years of research and development, simulation analysis, and principle prototype testing, the engine received the first CCS four-stroke ammonia engine principle approval certificate upon the successful ignition of the engineering prototype. This demonstrates that the technology of this engine model meets the design requirements and satisfies the relevant rules and regulations.
