1 This Chapter is applicable to the type approval and inspection of sling for steel wire ropes, and the end securing ways include aluminum alloy swaged ferrules, alloy or resin cast joints and inserted joints. Other securing ways may also be referred to in this Chapter.
2 Steel wire rope sling mentioned in this Chapter is used for lifting, mooring and towing of ships and offshore installations, other services such as hoisting in ports may be referred to in this Chapter.
