The Seatrade Maritime Logistic Middle East was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 16th to 18th.

The Seatrade Maritime Logistic Middle East was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 16th to 18th. As one of the important events of the UAE Maritime Week, this exhibition has gathered nearly 200 exhibitors, attracting nearly 7000 people from over 80 countries to register and participate. At the same time, more than 100 industry experts were invited to interpret the issues of industry development and industry concerns. At this exhibition, logistics was added to exhibition name for the first time, and H.E. Suhai Al Mzarouei, minister of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, delivered a speech on the Maritime Week event.

 

On May 17, CCS was invited to attend the Ship Technology Forum of the exhibition. Shao Qihui, General Manager of Dubai Branch, held a thematic discussion on current hot issues such as alternative fuels, carbon taxes, etc. with experts from enterprises, universities and other industries.

 

 

 

At the forum, the participants mainly discussed liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen fuel, ammonia fuel, methanol fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) that are currently concerned by the industry, attempting to find a development path that adapts to carbon emissions reduction target and carbon tax requirements from the perspectives of different practitioners in the industry. CCS representative mainly illustrated his views on the carbon emission reduction path for shipping, the advantages and challenges of alternative fuels, technological maturity, application prospects, etc. He also analyzed the applicability and suggestions of alternative fuels based on different ship types and routes, providing important references for shipowners in selecting and using clean energy.

 

 

 

CCS will actively serve the industry development and customer needs based on its technological advantages, and provide strong support for regional emission reduction, decarbonization, and green shipping development.
