Technical Service related to Cyber Security System for Ships and Management Companies

To respond to the needs of the industry in terms of improving cyber security management and in light of the requirements of maritime organizations such as IMO and IACS, regulations of flag States as well as the Guideline for Requirements and Safety Assessment of Shipboard Cyber System (2020), CCS, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of management systems, provides assistance to customers in implementation, operation, review and improvement of their management systems.

To respond to the needs of the industry to improve cyber security management and in light of the requirements of maritime organizations such as IMO and IACS, regulations of flag States as well as the Guideline for Requirements and Safety Assessment of Shipboard Cyber System (2020), CCS, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of management systems, provides assistance to customers in implementation, operation, review and improvement of their management systems. Such improvement is particularly necessary after the resolution IMO MSC.428(98) came into force, pushing member States to successively issue relevant laws and regulations and requirements for ship cyber risk management since flawed cyber risk management will unavoidably lead to ship detention.

Technical service related to cyber security system currently provided by CCS covers:

1.   Management system analysis and service to ships and management companies

2.   Construction and improvement of company shore-based or ship-end cyber information security management system

3.   Cyber information security awareness and cyber security skills of staff, and attack and defense drill training

4.   Trainings on cyber information security management system.
