CCS Inked A Strategic Cooperation Agreement with CSDC

China Classification Society (CCS) and China Ship Design & Research Center£¨CSDC£©singed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing a few days ago, which marked that both parties would establish a comprehensive and long-term strategic cooperation partnership in various areas.

Based on the common understanding of the country¡¯s economic development and of the development trend of domestic and overseas shipbuilding and offshore engineering industries, both sides will take advantage of respective resources, technologies and products to establish a strong strategic cooperation partnership in such areas as development, optimization, design and approval of ship type, cooperation in scientific research project, plan approval service, technical exchange and information sharing, talent training, and corporate culture construction. Both parties will seek mutual promotion and common development to jointly promote the country¡¯s research & development and upgrade of ship types as well as healthy and sustainable development of shipbuilding and shipping industries.

CSDC is an internationally influential unit under China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) engaged in civil ship and offshore engineering design. Its main products include bulk carrier, ore carrier, oil tanker, chemical tanker, container ship, multipurpose ship, passenger ship, ro-ro passenger/ro-ro ship, salvage ship, jack-up drilling and workover platform, semi-submersible drilling unit, FPSO, AHTS ship and offshore engineering ship. During years of good faith cooperation, CCS and CSDC have made great contribution to the development of China¡¯s shipping, shipbuilding and related industries and effectively promoted China's ship design quality and standard. Besides, both sides have played a key role in enhancing China¡¯s status in the international maritime community.

Mr. Chen Shi, CCS Deputy Chief Engineer & Director of CCS Plan Approval Center and Mr. Yu Dexin, CSDC Deputy General Manager signed the agreement on behalf of the two organizations, witnessed by Mr. Sun Feng, CCS Vice president, Mr. Zhao Zhanjun, CSDC General Manager and a number of heads and representatives from both sides.
