CCS Inked A Technical Cooperation Agreement with CISRI

On 28 February 2013, CCS Chairman & President Mr. Sun Licheng met with Mr. Tian Zhiling, Executive Vice President of Central Iron & Steel Research Institute (CISRI), Mr. Yang Caifu, Director of CISRI Institute of Engineering Steel, Mr. Su Hang, Deputy Director of CISRI Institute of Engineering Steel and Mr. Ma Chengyong, Deputy Director of CISRI Institute of Welding Technology who were paying a visit to CCS Headquarters. The two sides had a positive and effective exchange on technical cooperation and signed a corresponding agreement.

Both sides agreed to take full advantage of the role of CCS in acquiring latest technology information from the international shipping community, developing related technical standards, applying new technical requirements and bridging shipping and shipbuilding industries, and give full play to the solid strength of CISRI in the aspect of R&D and testing of metallic materials used in ships and offshore engineering. By strengthening the complementary cooperation, the two sides will surely make a greater contribution to the development and technological advancement of China¡¯s iron & steel and shipbuilding industries.

CISRI is the largest and most authoritative comprehensive R&D institution in China¡¯s metallurgical sector and has made great contribution to R&D of key steel materials used in military, marine and offshore engineering industries.

Mr. Sun Feng, CCS Vice President, and Mr. Tian Zhiling, CISRI Vice President signed the agreement on behalf of the two organizations, witnessed by a number of heads and experts from both sides.
