On Feb.25, BIMCO inaugurated its Shanghai Center in conjunction with its “Senior Leadership Forum”. Invited by Mr. Torben C. Skaanild, BIMCO Secretary-General & Chief Executive Officer, CCS Chairman & President Mr. Sun Licheng attended at the inauguration ceremony and made a keynote speech titled “An open China and BIMCO”.

In the speech, Mr. Sun extended our warmest congratulations on the official inauguration of BIMCO Shanghai Center. Upon analysing the current shipping market, he stated that China’s opening up and development would bring more opportunities for BIMCO members and the world’s shipping community. In future, those who could master the "green, energy-saving and emission reduction” technology and develop new types of vessels would be able to secure the market and gain the upper end in the competition. He pointed out that facing the new situation and challenges, CCS had been increasing investment in scientific research, launching new service products, and continuously improving its service capability and quality. Mr Sun looked forward to having more opportunities to provide best services for BIMCO members.

Mr. Mo Jianhui, CCS Vice president and Mr. Li Hua, General Manager of CCS Shanghai Branch also attended the inauguration and the forum.
