Please be kindly informed that the original Part 1 contained in the GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF STATUTORY SURVEYS (December 2010) is replaced by the latest amendment to the Part 1 of the GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF STATUTORY SURVEYS (March 2012).
    Part 1: Interpretations of IMO Conventions and Codes contains Chapters 2 to 11 of the exiting Guidelines, which is based on IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) Unified Interpretations.
    Unless explicitly stated or interpreted otherwise by the Administration of the flag States, Part 1 of the Guidelines applies to all CCS-classed ships engaged on international voyages and all ships complying with relevant international conventions.
    In case of any conflict of the Guidelines with the original English text, the original English text is to prevail.
