1. Basic
information of CCSI 
China Classification Society Industrial Corp. (CCSI), invested by China Classification Society, established in 1993 and registered in Beijing, is a professional company legally identified as an independent juridical body specializing in land-based industry services. The systematic integration in 2002 led to the unified leadership of all the companies of invested by both the Headquarters and branches. In January 2006, CCSI re-optimized its organizational structure and became a Group Company of CCS industry services.
As an independent agency of supervision, professional inspection and testing, notarial inspection, technical appraisement and technical consultation, CCSI makes the best use of its advantages in professional technology and proprietary know-how to provide services as supervision, testing, inspection, assessment & evaluation, inspection & repairing and consultations to customers independently when so authorized and safeguard their interests to the best, holding on to the tenet of Independency, Impartiality, High Quality and High Efficiency. With considerable achievements and qualified services, we have won very good reputation and consent as well as abundant service experiences.
At present, CCSI owns more than 300 professional technicians, among whom 65% were attested officially with professional qualifications for middling or senior technical jobs in traffic, bridge, NDT, basic constructions of cities, ships, ocean engineering etc, and over 20 are professors, senior engineers or doctor directors.
All sub-companies, branches and JVs of CCSI spread at all the large and medium cities either coastal or along inner rivers, and have formed an intact service network with the core in Beijing and radiating all over P.R.C.
2. Scope of services
Supervision
This service covers building or manufacturing of bridge; large hoisting equipment; offshore engineering; ship and related engineering; port facility; railway; power plant equipment; environment protection engineering; wind energy, and etc.
Inspection
This service covers insurance and assessment; marine notarial affairs; ships and offshore installations; the 3rd party inspection of land oil drilling and production equipment, supervision of manufacture of petroleum steel pipes (such as casing, tubing, ERW, SSAW, etc.); and other industrial products.
Inspection &Testing
This service covers thickness measurement; non-destructive testing; instrument identification and checkout; wireless devices and etc.
Evaluation
This service covers engineering calculation; ships; ocean engineering; wind energy facilities; large steel structures; port and hoisting equipment and etc.
Inspection and Repair
This service covers lifeboat and catamaran, other offshore life saving appliance; offshore fire extinguishing appliance; land fire extinguishing appliance (including business related to delivery of equipment) and etc.
Consultation
This service covers management system; maritime appraisal; various trainings; technical information review; engineering consultancy; designing; manual and chart plotting; technique labor and etc.
3. Human resources
At present, CCSI has developed to an industrial service enterprise group consisting of 13 sub companies and 6 joint-venture companies, with about 500 professional senior technicians and supervision engineers of different kinds. The annual production value exceeds 100 million RMB.
CCSI possesses a group of professionals in the fields of supervision, inspection; testing, calculation & assessment, of who over 300 have acquired the national professional qualification certificates for engineering supervision and related jobs. 65% of them were attested officially with professional qualifications for middling or senior technical jobs
In addition, CCSI retains a group of full-time or part-time famous experts nation wide and world wide to provide technical advice and support for the business ranging from bridge, ship, harbor facilities, oil equipment, railway, and etc.
4. Qualifications
At present, CCSI possesses the following certificates issued by the competitive authorities.
A-Class supervision qualification certificate issued by the Ministry of Communication of P.R.C. in 1996 for port & waterway Engineering and giant bridge steel structure manufacture and installation.
A-class equipment supervision qualification certificate issued in 2004 (CCSI is one of the 1st group with such qualification). The service scope covers the following projects and products: harbor engineering; naval architecture; shore bridge and tyre crane of container dock project; electricity from burning engineering (turbines, generators, auxiliary equipments); hydroelectric engineering (hydroelectric generator); ship hoist equipment of shipbuilding equipment engineering (dock caisson included); railway and city orbit transportation engineering (steel railways, bridge beams, bridge erecting equipments); turnoffs of stations and hinges, load and unload equipments and equipments for passengers boarding and descending; oil & gas storage and transportation and pipeline engineering (oil & gas transportation pipeline); ocean oil equipment engineering (offshore oil drilling and production equipment engineering); specialized equipments (portal cranes).
Offshore oil & gas production equipments inspection and testing qualification certificate acquired in Jun, 2002, which was converted to oceanic oil & gas specialized equipments inspection and testing qualification certificate in January 2006. The business scope includes inspection for fire-fighting equipment of offshore oil/gas production installations; non-destructive testing for structure and equipment of offshore oil/gas production installations; inspection for crane and lifter equipment of offshore oil/gas production installations; inspection for specialized drilling and workover equipment of offshore oil/gas production installations.
The authentication certificate (issued by CNAS) for inspection and a certificate metrology accreditation (CMA) in July, 2006. The service scope includes ultrasonic test, radial test, magnetic test, penetration test and visual inspection for metallic materials and products (including cast and forge products, rolling plates and steel structure welding line).
5. Supervision Liability Insurance
From 2003, CCSI initiated in purchasing supervision liability insurance from PICC (People’s Insurance Company of China) among the same trade in China. The maximum compensation is 30,000,000 RMB, which reduces the risk of owner and the project to the minimum.
