	CCS on the International Stage (1985-1998)


In 1986, Chen Muhua, State Councilor, met with the visiting Chairman of Suez Canal Authority of Egypt, to urge the Authority to recognize the certificates issued by ZC		In 1980, Peng Deqing, Vice Minister of MOC attended signing ceremony of Memorandum of Talks on Co-operation between ZC and NK, which promoted the international co-operation of ZC



In 1987, Lin Zuyi,Vice Minister of MOC met with Mr.Reinhard Mau, Vice Chairman of International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), with a view to advance CCS to join IACS		1996-1997, CCS assumed the Chairmanship of IACS for the first time in its history. In 1986, the Ministry of Communications promulgated the Articles of Association for China Classification Society (CCS) , approving the Society as an organization for performance of ship classification and notarial surveys		In 1993, CCS Quality Management System successfully passed the IACS audit and a Quality Management System Certificate of Conformity was issued by IACS


In 1994, Zhu Rongji, Vice Premier of the State Council meeting with DNV delegation visiting CCS
