China Classification Society and the Bulgarian Maritime Administration Signed the Statutory Authorization Agreement.

On October 25th, the vice President of China Classification Society Mr. Sun Feng and the Executive Director of Bulgarian Maritime Administration Mr. Zhivko Petrov signed the delegation agreement of statutory functions and certification services for vessels registered in the Republic of Bulgaria during the CEEC-China 2nd Transport Ministers’ Meeting & Business Forum which was held in Warsaw, Poland. The signing ceremony as part of the government to government meeting between China and Bulgaria had witnessed by the Vice Minister of Ministry of Transport of P.R.C Mr. He Jianzhong and Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Bulgaria Mr. Velik Zanchev.
Bulgaria is located in the southeastern part of the European Balkans, east of the Black Sea, which owns 378 km coastline and important harbor cities as Varna and Burgas. It is a bridge connecting Eurasia and also a gateway to the European market. The signing of the above agreement is a positive move in further promoting cooperation between transportation authorities of China and Bulgaria under the “16+1” cooperation framework of CEEC-China and also the practice of the "Belt and Road" initiative. It will serve as a strong foundation for CCS’ further development in European market.
