China Classification Society (CCS) Signed the Statutory Authorization Agreement With Bulgarian Maritime Administration (BMA)

At the 2nd China-CEEC (16+1) Transport Ministers' Meeting and Business Forum event held in Warsaw, Poland on October 25, with He Jianzhong, Vice Minister of Transport of China and Velik Zanchev, Vice Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Bulgaria, as witnesses, Sun Feng, vice President of CCS and Mr. Zhivko Petrov, Executive Director of BMA officially signed the statutory authorization agreement on delegating statutory functions of BMA to CCS. The signing ceremony was a part of this China-Bulgaria Transport Ministerial Meeting.
Bulgaria, located in the southeast of European Balkans and bordering the Black Sea in the east, boasts a 378-km coastline and important port cities such as Varna and Burgas. It is a bridge connecting the European Continent and Asian Continent, and also a gateway to the European market. The signing of the statutory authorization agreement is a positive initiative of Chinese and Bulgarian competent authorities of transport to deepen the cooperation and implement the“Belt and Road” initiative under the China-CEEC (16+1) cooperation framework.
