China is a country with a long history in navigation and shipbuilding as well as in safety supervision and ship surveying. CCS was created and has grown with the founding and development of new China. In 1956, the Ministry of Communications (MOC) established the Register of Shipping and the establishment of CCS soon followed.
In the half century since its inception, CCS has advanced with the rapid development of the shipping and shipbuilding industries in new China. Today, CCS has become both the main force in the national ship survey sector and a strong supporter of the development of the national shipping and shipbuilding industries. In an era when global maritime dealings are moving towards the Orient, CCS is becoming a rising star in the international maritime community. |
